Nautical Dusk

Acres of empty space,
Distinct rooms of hues,
Extend to the wall of fire,
Soot seeps into the cracks,
Charcoal glows as smoking diamonds,
En route from dust to stars,
Numerous curtains pull close,
Tepid pulses of waiting,
Like a blossom, like a storm, like the warmth buried under the shroud of snow,
Navigating through the thick,
Immersed in the flammable void,
Guided by your loneliness,
Hanging on a pendulum,
Telling me to stay,
Frantic within the confines,
Answering to the horizon,
Late into the time of harvest,
Longer, we wait.
